About us

Estate sales shouldn't cost a family a third of everything.

We built EstateSaleUSA so the people doing the hardest work — clearing a home after a loss, a move, or a downsizing — get to keep what their belongings are worth.

An estate sale usually arrives at a hard moment. A parent has passed. A long marriage is being packed into boxes. A house that held decades of life has to be emptied, and someone — often someone who has never done this before — has to figure out what it's all worth and how to sell it.

The traditional answer is to hire an estate sale company. They send a crew, take over the home for a week, price everything, run the sale, and then keep 30 to 40 percent of the proceeds. On a modest estate, that's thousands of dollars — gone before the family sees a cent. For a long time, that was simply the cost of not knowing how to do it yourself.

We thought the hard part should be easier, not more expensive.

The reason people hand over a third of an estate isn't that running a sale is impossible. It's that the pieces are intimidating: pricing things you don't recognize, cataloging hundreds of items, building something buyers can find, taking payments safely, and keeping the opening morning from turning into a stampede.

So we built software that does those parts. Scout, our AI assistant, reads a photo and suggests a fair price and description. The platform builds your public sale page, generates a QR tag for every item, handles card payments straight to your bank, opens high-value pieces to remote bidders, and lets buyers reserve entry times so the door stays calm.

What's left for you is the part only you can do: deciding what to sell, and what it's worth to let go of it.

What we believe

The money belongs to the family. We charge a flat setup fee and a small share of what sells — nothing like a commission. Payments go directly to your bank; we never hold your funds or take a third off the top the way a company does.

The technology should disappear. You shouldn't have to learn software to sell your mother's china. Scout does the technical lifting so the experience feels like having a knowledgeable friend walk the house with you.

Respect the moment. Estate sales often follow loss. We try to build tools that are practical and calm, never pushy — because behind every sale is a person dealing with more than just stuff.

The short version

Companies run sales the old way. We hand you a better one.

Everything a commission company does — pricing, the selling, payments, the crowd at the door — put in your hands, plus tools the estate-sale world never had, for a fraction of the cost.

Keep what's yours.
